Context
Huber was an early HR-tech platform exploring employee experience through workspace booking, collaboration, engagement, and recognition. It did not find product-market fit and is no longer operating.
Problem
Workplaces are packed with tools, but none of them talk to each other. Employees bounce between platforms for booking desks, checking salaries, or just finding a meeting room. For HR teams and remote workers, this meant confusion, disengagement, and low satisfaction.
My contribution
Led the research, persona and journey work, competitor analysis, wireframes, product direction, and early success-metric thinking with the founder and a data analyst.
- UX Strategy
- Product Designer
- Product Management
Decisions that shaped the work
- 01
Prioritized workspace booking as the primary wedge feature
- 02
Designed gamified recognition systems to drive engagement
- 03
Proposed WhatsApp integration for messages
Process
Joined early and wore multiple hats across strategy and design. Led user research, mapped personas, analyzed competitors, sketched wireframes, and proposed UX enhancements. Defined MVP success metrics.
Evidence
- User research synthesis
- Persona maps
- Wireframes and UI blocks
- Competitive analysis report
Outcomes and impact
- Created a clearer product direction balancing HR goals with employee needs
- Reduced early feature clutter by prioritising the most useful modules
- Documented research and product thinking from a venture that did not ultimately find PMF
Reflection
Designing for internal tools isn't about just usability — it's about creating a product that feels like it belongs to the people who use it daily.
